Yesterday afternoon , we flew ( Fresno, Cal. to Portland, Ore. then home to Wa.) over the Yosemite fire at 30,000 ft. many clouds obstructed the view of the burned areas. However, we could see miles of smoke rising and several dozen small fires a few miles apart near the main fire front. The huge column of smoke was headed for Reno.
