My favorite apple is looked down on as garbage, golden Delicious. As a kid they where always in fruit bowl on kitchen table.

Why are Golden Delicious considered garbage? I used to buy them from the refrigerated vending machine in Jr. High. When I had a dime.

They were so crisp and sweet and juicy.

I read somewhere that a home grown golden delicious tasted sooooo much better than store bought. But I guess everything does.

i like golden delicious too. i also like the reds. plus both help pollinate other trees in the garden. doesn't help my dh hit both with the lawn mower the 1st year they went in the ground.
