Some of the plants are covered with really big fruit, green. I have been picking a couple of ripe beefsteaks every week. I'll have to post a picture of a big Goliath, still green.
Okay Cat'!

There are some big Goliath but it turns out that the Big Beef plant right up against some sunflowers is the one with the largest tomatoes.

They are usually a fairly consistent 8oz but some of these may the biggest Big Beefs I've ever had.

shoulda set the knife in another location but the rock, the rock is really heavy and deserves attention ;)

I think that the location of this plant with its big fruit indicates how wind protection would really help in the big veggie garden.

Today's haul:

(Bread tray, I found 6 of them at the recycle center! :weee)

Delicious, an OP beefsteak I've been saving for a few years. *Almost* made it to 2 lbs. 4 more on the vine nearly as big.

Golden Jubilee. If you get heartburn from acidic foods, this is the tomato for you, sweet and a little lemony.

Pink Berkeley Tie Dye. This is one pretty tomato and tastes as good as it looks.

The biggest in my picture are only about 11 or 12 ounces. Probably the cool overnight temperatures keep them from more growth ... so they will never catch up with that rock!

Anyway, that is my story ...

Along with, the cold temperatures during flowering causing catfacing and hot temperatures during fruit development causing yellow shoulders ... moving away from those problems now. Thankfully!
