I didn't use any rooting hormone, its been in moist soil for over a month, its not wilting or anything it looks very healthy, but there is NO sign of new growth.... and I'm impatient.
I would guess that if the top is looking healthy and hasn't wilted then it must be forming roots down below. There has to be some root structure before it can put growth out on top. So, patience sparkles!
I usually put them in a yoghurt cup of water for a few weeks, and then as soon as roots showed up, I put them in dirt. It would be a few months before you had a whole plant.
So long as its not rotting or wilting its doing fine. Ive had them take what seemed like FOREVER, but it will grow. And thats without rooting hormone either. I just stuck it in some potting soil and let it do its thing.
Last week I was able to remove the adult leaf, because it has 6 babies coming up! The biggest is now 3/4 inch tall! It took a LONG time but its exciting to see the results!
