allow your husband to use glysophates to clean up fields with late developing weeds
aka... also know as spray the hell out of everything in site with ROUND UP! ...and not very cleanly either. I know you are concerned about contamination from these chemicals, and many people agree with you. You just need to work with your husband's ideals and your ideals together. Try to find some common ground. I don't think GMO is the answer to anything.

Again, my opinion.

Just because you see a lot of volume, it doesn't mean it's a lot of glysophate. Most 80% is nothing but water, could be as high as 98% water. Depending on the operation, there could also be nitrogen, micro nutrients, etc that are part of the mix. Per acre there is less than a qt of actual glysophate.

If the sprayer doesn't do it "cleanly" he loses his license. They also carry insurance to cover all damages--they have too many damages, no carrier will cover them--again, out of business.

Again, there are companies that breed conventional corn and according to independent yield tests are doing very well.

What I don't understand with is you can buy the application, and it can be applied at the price discussed. Who determines the %?

there are rates that are determined to be effective. Most use between a pint/QT per acre of actual product--most of what you see is just plain 'ol water.

Before spraying fields, there is a conversation as to what weeds are to be killed and what is the farmers best options.
