How Will it be for You?

It was weird getting up at 6:30 in my bedroom, walking down the hallway, and seeing 7:30 on the clock by the kitchen. The one in my bedroom is an expensive toy that syncs to my ipod so it was still set in standard time. :D Still made it to church on time, but barely.

It doesn't affect dh and I too greatly. But to me it's so pointless.
Why are we even continuing to do it? A lot of states are opting out, which seems like the more intelligent thing to do.

I always love the longer daylight. But as an insomniac I need to start again to get a decent routine to get through the night with enough sleep.

Not a problem for me. With DH's sleep getting so messed up, it was actually a bit fun to wake him up first this morning.

Being retired makes this change a non-issue.

I did offer my grandchildren each a $100 bill if they would call and wake me up this morning at 2:30. 'Twas a real treat to see their eyes light up at the thought. Tisk-tisk. Shame on me. Of course there was no 2:30 this morning.

I have an olde electric clock on the night stand. It's worked fine for about 20 years.

Except ... it has a calendar with the daylight time the way it was when the clock was new!

I will reset it now and it will automatically change in a couple of weeks to when daylight savings time is supposed to be (according to that clock :somad). Same thing will happen in the fall ...
