If they r smart, they will stay south for a while. Nothing blooming up here. Could be 2-3 weeks yet. Love map

I spotted the my first three humming birds at the feeder today. :) Thanks Red for putting up the thread. I wouldn't have remembered to fill the feeder if you hadn't.

I learned last spring to get those feeders up early. DH and I were working out by where I hang the feeders, and a hummingbird flew by looking for the feeder. I got it up 2 days later. But I never did see anymore hummingbirds last year. They apparently told each other where the feeders are....so none ever came back to look. :(

This year, I got them up soon enough. It was still late, but with all of the bitter cold ice and snow....very unseasonal for here, I didn't expect to see them till those temps evened out a bit. I loaded and hung the feeders last week, and the birds are busy fighting each other over them.:plbb

I put up my feeders this weekend when I looked at the map and saw they have been sighted in the area. I have not seen any yet, but wanted to have the welcome mat out so to speak!
