Yes, he was my mother's third cousin, so was A.A. Milne, so was Woodrow Wilson, and actually, so was Charles Evans Hughes. Those 2 ran against each other for president. Not sure if they even knew they both had the same kin. The Alexander name does continue in our family in several forms. My nephew is Alexander, I have a niece Alexis, that is also my sister Laurie's middle name.

Back in 1976 I purchased a numbered and signed Calder "Pyramids" lithograph. I gave it to my oldest sister about 10 years ago. She is an abstract artist, oil on stretched canvas. I sure wish my mother's one scraped oil on old wood could be known where it is. She made it around 1961, beautiful, of one of the saints.

If they still used wire to bale hay...I remember the feed bags stuffed with it.
You only need so much for car repairs and such. ;)

It would have made a neat little rusty menagerie around the barn!
