Flo is finally showing herself here in Midlands SC. Dark scudding feeder bands, wind gusts and slight sprinkles of rain. We could really use some of that rain here though. Minus the other nasty weather.
A tiny amount of green tree leaves on the porches etc. Spiders have all hunkered down.

That's hilarious.

The excuse the station gives for his over dramatization was pretty laughable too.
Of course! We all know that wind blows harder over wet grass than pavement!

the only people here i know that are being directly impacted is @Lickbranchfarm and @moxies_chickienuggets.. how you guys doing..?
we have received 3" and a gust of 28 mph..we are out of flo's wrath... <for now>

Well....Ms Flo...tropical depression....finally lumbered into my area at 10:30 pm last night. Saturday night. Right after I had turned off the lights and went to bed. Banging and pounding outside the bedroom-which is it's own separate building- and no way to see what was going on. Too dark out here, and we have NO yard lights. So....I just went back to bed. The worst that could have happened would be tree fall.....but that would have to involve just the right wind direction and strength. We sleep in the strongest part of the house anyway. New construction, 2002, on a concrete pad. North side.

So, this morning brings light rain, cloudy and overcast skies, no winds. I think...SHE is done. We have only had minor power outages here in Saluda County SC.

glad your safe...... could have been much worse if flo did not start falling apart before hitting land...

we left for breakfast raining buckets, drove to the moose cafe at the farmers market, holy cow double buckets there usually they are swamped at 7 am, we had the place all to ourselves.....good country cooking...

stopped raining about 30 mins ago <just a break between bands> we have had just over 7" so far
