Here's a tip:

Take the ends of your dental floss ... tie them together. Just do it ... ;)

Now, a tips question:

I don't use DW's soft soap, too drying for the digitS'! Instead, I move the bath soap to the sink, new bar to the bath - where it's used up quickly. Can I melt these "tips" into one bar for the sink? How would I do that? When I tried that (some way) years ago, it didn't work.

Steve, you can put all the soap dribs and drabs in a small cotton bag, or sew a wash cloth up to hold them, then use as a body scrubber.
Tie my floss together? Who has that kind of time? Haha.
Actually I use a Waterpik (sp?), works well about 99% of the time.

Here's a good hygiene tip....don't eat your avocado with your garden gloves on.

I use hand crafted soap in the bath. When the old bar gets down to a sliver, I get the new bar slightly soft in the water, then put the sliver on top, press firmly and let them meld together and dry that way. Then you have one slightly thicker bar of soap.

Me too. I get a rosemary/lavender soap from a friend on my 'cow forum' and just press the sliver of one onto the next bar.

@digitS' - weren't you fussing a long while back about soap bars shrinking?? Maybe you should switch to body wash instead. LOL

Tip: To make your bar soap last longer, buy in numbers, remove wrappers and store in an open container. The air dries them out some and they last so much longer, even the ones with lotion in them. I have those bath gloves, any slivers of soap I stick in them, works like a charm.

Bath gloves? I understand the bag idea - gloves?

Maybe I should ditch the Irish Spring? Yes, that was what I complained about, softening and disappearing down the drain. Also, I can't get 1 sliver to stick to another. They come unglued!

My life is so fraught with challenges.

The floss, Mary? Just break off your regular length of floss. Then, tie the 2 ends together. From there, use as usual.

Steve

Why would you tie the ends together of floss? I don't get it. :idunno Oh well, I won't worry about it cause I use floss picks anyway. Got tired of floss stopping the circulation on my fingers!

Just for you Steve,

Shower/Bath Gloves, they do come in other colors ;), bought in most drug stores up here. Just the thing for those slivers of soap.

Thank you, Annette! They would be appropriate, don't you think :)?

Mary, that serious tightening around the digitS' to keep the floss from slipping -- that is what you can avoid by having it tied in a circle. The floss can just go around the back of the hands, for example. There is no need to synch it around the digitS'. It's difficult to describe the difference from having the ends loose but I gave it my best shot ...
