I generally clean on Mondays, as DH and I can trash the house on the weekends, depending on what projects we can get into in those scant 2 days. The rest of the week, PRN. "As needed"
Because we have to be careful about our well water usage, I had to tame my OCD for cleaning. Used to be, I would scrub the toilets daily. Not anymore. That's now..."as needed". I hand wash dishes, as we can't have/don't have a dishwasher. One dishpan of hot soapy water, pile in other sink basin, rinse with cold water. Usually once a day is all the 2 of us need for dish washing.
Gardening is more labor intensive as we have to use collected rainwater for it only. If it is really dry and in drought, it gets grey water. and then, I ration the water for laundry, and we take turns for showers. I try to never do showers, laundry on the same days.

Today, as has been the past 3 days, inside work. Thankfully, we have been getting plentiful rain. My rain barrels are full, and the front 4 are sanitized and clean. Too muddy to do gardening. So, I guess it will be sewing for the day.

Ugghhh...weeding. One of the chores I procrastinate on.

I am teaching myself how to crochet. My mom taught me to chain stitch many many years ago, but I never did anything with it. And forget knitting. That is just over my head. Now sewing is another matter. I have been sewing since the age of 4.

I hate housework! :tongue Boo! Hiss! Blech! :tongue

My house is clean enough to be healthy (well, sort of) and dirty enough to be happy! If that is really true, then we must be the most ecstatic, delirious, joyful people (and dogs) on earth!!

I'll do ANYTHING to keep from having to be (DREAD) IN THE HOUSE!!

I like what Lesa said...and that's pretty much right on the mark around here.

Maybe I'm an oddball, but I don't mind housework, and I love a clean house so it's worth it to me. The problem, as we all know, is time.
And like Stubborn said, we have to prioritize! :p

With all the company we've had I was forced to not only clean the house, but to organize it reasonably, and keep it clean...
And work... And also keep the gardens and yard presentable... Eeegads I'm tired!

Company left on Tuesday, and today it's raining so I slept in an extra hour and I get to sit here being non-productive for a bit. :)

( ha! I noticed that too Steve, you're funny! )

I've been crocheting since I was about 12... I'm 43 now. I make a lot of different things, blankets, wreathes, baby items. I never learned how to knit either.... dont have the hand eye coordination required ;) . My daughters have all tried it.... I'm the only one who does though.
I'm not sure, but I think MontyJ has posted some of my stuff on here. I have sold a few items

House work stinks... I dont have enough storage space.... and I'm a yarn hoarder :(

Haha...the term "hoarder" scares me. Too many in my family are hoarders. My dad, my mom, my 2 sisters, my maternal grandmother...geesh. I learned what 4,000 lbs of household goods looked like when I married a Navy man back in 78...and have been happily and dutifully deleting/donating items since then.

I'm not a "real" hoarder.... Just when it comes to yarn because I make so much stuff, I have all different kinds :D I'm terrified of becoming a hoarder!!!!

That is definitely true when you have small children. If I obsess too much about how clean the house is, I tend to be too cranky to enjoy the kids (and some of their more creative messes). I'd much rather be out in the garden, with my children, "digging in the dirt" as we call it around here. :happy_flower

I dont obsess about my house being clean unless I'm having a party then it HAS to be clean. Dont want people coming and the house being a mess. Thats one thing I make sure of, but threw the week if people show up and its messy, too bad for them. They missed the clean day.
