I'm leaning toward turnips. It looks like greens I'd cook and eat. Looks too small for collard greens.

I did get free turnip seeds. But I can't imagine i would have planted them in that small space.

Here is a volunteer turnip. I planted turnips here in 2020, They came up in 2021 and went to seed. I will have volunteers here for a LONG time bc the tiny sprouts are Also turnips. So, no, don't think it's a turnip, but I DO think it's a vegetable.

I love volunteer veggies! I've had volunteer veggies with Swiss chard, peas, chamomile, and potatoes!

Looks like some type of brassica. Very dark leaves... maybe broccoli? Collards? Kale?
