I was not planning on doing a garden this year due to lack of time and space. Needless to say I was pretty bummed. :hit But when I saw TEG had changed their format to something I could actually get around on :celebrate (I had planned on joining long ago but had trouble with the format) I decided to live off of other peoples gardens :p until "next year" . But you TEGers convinced me to make time, (jealousy is a good motivater) Thank you TEGers.:bow
And now I HAVE MY SEEDS!!!! here is what I got,
Yellow sweet onions
Red onions
Peas (Alaska wilt resistant)
Broccoli (De Cicco)
Lettuce (great lakes and romaine) I still need iceberg
All of which will be started tomorrow
I also got.....
Cucumbers (straight eight)
Pumpkin (big max)
Tomato (roma)
Cantaloupe ( Hales best jumbo)
watermelon (crimson sweet)
Corn (silver queen)
Sunflowers (mammoth Russian and an assorted pack of vanilla ice, autumn beauty, lemon queen, and evening sun)
In April I will need to get Strawberries
Tomatoes (Beefsteak, and grape) I am still searching for Amish paste and/or campbells (seed or start)
At some point I also need to find yellow finn potatoes for my experiment. :)
I cant wait to start seeds tomorrow. :barnie:ya

Wow! You aren't going to mess around, are you? Just plan on a way to control the weeds, now, before you get weeds. Some of us use layers of newspaper with straw or compost on top. Some people like to lightly till their garden all season, to kill the weeds. Some of us use weed preventers like preen. Some of us just let the weeds grow and curse them.
Have fun!

And of course, there is the weed contest going on this year. . .

Wow Wishin'! Looks like you went from zero to ninety in about 10 seconds flat!
Sounds like you're going to be very busy this growing season. You know you're obligated to show pictures right?
