I need a potting soil recipe or a brand of potting mix

Most of them look fine but I noticed a few that look chlorotic (pale leaves.) They need either nitrogen or iron, perhaps both. Be careful with the nitrogen though. Tender plants like that are easy to burn with too much fertilizer. I'd try a good orgainic fertilizer at about half the strength recommended on the label. You can slowly increase the strength as they improve.

What's wrong with those plants? They look great. They may need a little fertilizer. Keep it diluted right after transplanting. I buy the giant bales of seed starting formula-it lasts forever. I use peat pots so they can be just popped right into a hole at planting time.

I finished cooking my compost and cooled it, then sieved it,

Then I checked it for water porosity, and sure enough it behaved sort of like peat moss, and did not soak through.

So I put it in a box and added water, and mixed it all up. Now I have it in the pressed coir cells, and set on the heater for a bit again, then turned it off to cool.

Should be cool enough any time now to put the seeds in well labeled.
