I ran across a great deal on tomatoes at Lowe's just now...

Fifty cents each for 4" pots.

The problem? The labels said "tomato". And that's all. lol

I passed for fear that they'd do phenomenally well and I'd want to plant that variety again. The picture was of a red tomato. That narrows it down, huh?

I have talked myself into going back today and picking some up since I have two of my heirloom plants that are clearly going to be a bust.

If it makes a medium sized red tomato that's not a roma type, it's probably "Early Girl" or "Celebrity", maybe "Better Boy". Those are the most typical varieties stores like that carry.

In the past those Were my favorite kind. I call them suprize tomatoes, cause you dont know what you have till they set fruit.
