I love old stuff. Here on the ranch there are milk cans, wagons, and all manner of things they used over 100 years ago right here. I wish the trees could talk, because I know they have a lot of stories to tell about the comings and goings here. This was originally a cavalry outpost in the middle of the Piaute territory. There are lots of arrowheads, and pottery and stuff to be found around here. The trees could tell all about the indians, and the cowboys that came after...so cool when I sit out and imagine it all...

when the coop is finished and painted i think i'll take the horse shoe and pin it to the coop above the door for good luck. i've already found some 4 leaf clovers growing in the yard so i know i have some luck with those too! there's been tons of rocks and boulders i've been pulling, one i had to leave in the area where my potato patch was put yesterday.

How neat! I'd be spending all my time looking for arrowheads. What a great history to have as your own. (Where is the "green with envy" smiley when you need it?)
