I planted my tomato plants very early last year and covered them when it was cold...blah, blah, blah. Got tomatoes the same time as I always did, had a lot more work and learn that in colder climates tomatoes are only going to do what they want to do.
They won't grow well until the ground temps get warmer which is now. They will probably take off and grow like crazy and you will have tomatoes just like everyone else. Good luck.
