Impressive garlic volunteer

It may not be relevant, but I thought I would show you what comes up (3 years so far) from some grocery store garlic that sprouted in my kitchen so I planted it. But I have never dug up the bulbs, so I don’t know what they are looking like nowadays.

Perfectly relevant! That looks very like my plant, though not as big. Weather , location, etc could explain that. It seems to me I heard years ago that grocery store "garlic" was actually often elephant garlic, because consumers have such a strong preference for the monster cloves. Has anybody else heard that?
