Cool I went for a walk on an empty field that had been harvested and dead, the farmer threatened to have me arrested! :hide
These people are not so nice. I have bought a 1/3 acre attached to my place and just turned it into garden so here's hoping for lots to eat!!!!:ya

I'd hoped to begin work in the big veggie garden today but another windy afternoon is predicted. The little veggie garden is all but filled with plantings. May drift over there since it is far more protected from the wind. There's one more dahlia bed to cultivate and some more of that work to do in the shady corner.

The tomatoes are spread out at 9/flat in the hoop house and I 've just learned that the fan was directly blowing on like only 2 of them half the night! That's what I get for starting things in the dark in there . . .

No.

There is only one bed that was still in the shade this month. The plants will be too tall with too small of blooms. The lower parts of those plants will be shaded in September.

I'm not sure how the temperature of the soil might delay early growth. Some.

The other side of the garden has a dahlia bed with all the sun and heat - it is right against a wood fence and cooks!

Bad news because the spider mites LOVE it there! I'd rather deal with some shade!

OK, Mother Nature, that record rainfall yesterday was just peachy, but you can start dumping it somewhere else for a bit, I'm good for QUITE a while now!

Nope, that is not the fun pond I've been dreaming about, THAT is my YARD! And my starts are still hanging out in the porch! ...

Luckily I've been able to get them out to the deck enough to get them hardened off, I hope! Suppose to be better weather ahead...thank goodness!

You can be the first person to garden in a kayak! That idea needs some work, but it has some potential....
At least your starts are gorgeous, even if the weathers not.
Here's hoping for lots of sunshine coming your way real soon!
