So how many of you are being/will be impacted by the storm???

I am 22 miles inland from Portsmouth NH...we dont have to worry about storm surge but we still could have flooding from the amount of rain they say we will get...and of course the wind could knock over trees and chimneys...Thankfully we just finished our new chicken coop which is very sturdy...I do worry about my tomatoes...I can picture them all on the ground after 12 hours or so of rain...stay safe my friends...

Everyone cross their fingers - i'm going to be flying today from eastern PA to charlotte, n.c. On my way out west back to MT. They tell me charlotte is not much affected, so i sure hope i can make it, especially considering i already had horrible flying hassles just getting here! Sunday my flight was completely cancelled, monday i barely made the connection they re-routed me on - ran with my carry on bags across the entire F concourse, and the only reason my 2nd flight was still at the gate was a minor mechanical problem, THANK HEAVENS! So i really hope to make it home today no problems :)

NwMtGardener, Good Luck. I am hoping all flights and connections go smoothly and that Irenen Looses force and all in her path only have minor problems. :fl

Thanks Carol Dee! So far everythings going fine for me, and did you see, they're now calling it a category 1. So hopefully there will be much less damage than anticipated. Better to scare everyone good and get them to really get prepared than the opposite!!

Glad things are going smoothly so far for you Heather! Flying can be such a headache these days, even without a storm to complicate
everything.
Good news about it being down rated, I hope everyone gets through it unscathed.

The problem with them scaring the wits out of people and having nothing happen is that next time they'll think it's just hype and won't pay attention.

Stay safe everyone.

We're ok, lost power this morning and then lost internet. The power came back in an hour, but was without internet all day. More then 1/2 my tomatoes were ripped out though and even the huge bamboo posts I've had out their for years got ripped out. So a bit bummed over my garden. We did have gusts up to 60 mph this morning. :(

I was wondering how you weathered the storm. I'm glad you made it through with only some garden damage.
