Is it to late to plant garlic?

Thanks for that info ridgerunner, I have good black soil where I am thinking of planting it. I wonder if I mixed rabbit droppings in the soil after I till it if that would be good fertilizer?:rolleyes:

Garlic is best planted when hot weather is over. Here in New Jersey the best time to plant garlic is mid-October to mid-November. The bulbs planted too early will bolt and suffer in the winter. The roots will do great with cold weather. But always plant garlic in the autumn and not the spring.

We just planted our today, and our onions... they ended up being shipped out late. ;)

I did figure out that 2 lbs of garlic was a lot more then I originally thought! :barnie Needing to build another raised bed now.
