I bought some Tatume squash seeds this year to try in my garden. The vine that is coming up looks like a watermelon vine. What do ya'll think. It is very "hairy" like watermelon.

Thanks, Melissa

From what I found several tatume squash vine photos do look similar to watermelon vines as they don't bush like summer squash or zukes!

I did not plant watermelon in jiffy pots, I planted them directly in the bed this year.

I bought this seed off ebay, and I'm concerned that I did not get what I paid for. Same seller sold me Peter Pepper and I can't get them to sprout or if they sprout they don't get any bigger. I tried 3 times with the pepper seed and failed. I just bought some more from a different seller and I am having the same problems. They won't sprout. I direct seeded these in a 20" pot in the garden. I have placed 5 seeds in a plastic bag with a wet paper towel. If they sprout I'm going to stick them in some sterile potting soil and see if I can get them to grow. Some plants are just persnickety. :/
