We have hydrants allover our property that is setup with a well pump. It is a backhoe dug well just for watering plants and animals. Not very deep. We used a cheap, actually a CL find sump pump when we first put the well in.It worked great until we had the money to put in the better system.wow drain pond not good, need to rethink. Was just going to use to water trees, might be better running hoses from house.
My husband installed them with a guy with a backhoe. And a plumber at some point. It sure beats dragging heavy hoses. And paying for town water. And when there are 5 foot snow drifts.......cat,yes, Hydrants are the ticket, did you install them? We put in loads of them really helps.
