Oh yes... I know!

My one neighbor told me I should pinch all the new ones off and just try for one big on per plant. I didn't like that idea. I would rather have many smaller ones than one giant one! LOL

I have no idea how we're going to eat so many watermelons this summer, but, whatever! Maybe we'll give some to our neighbors and friends as well. :D
I've found that to be a great way to endear yourself to the neighbors! ;)

haha! We're hoping to have enough to share with our neighbors of many of our plants! Really corn and watermelon would be the only 2 that might produce enough to really share this year, but considering we got a late start and we've never gardened before... I think we're doing pretty good! :D

LOL!! Thanks!!! BTW... that pear?? It's the only one that wasn't blown off in the tornadoes we had back in April!! We're lucky to even have that one! It makes me giggle every time I see it too. :D

Very nice! Hope nothing eats it.
I'm already freaked out that something is going to demolish my garden over night... and we do have an infestation of bean leaf beetles... please don't make me sleep in my garden! :gig

I know the feeling, sometimes I feel like I will never win the battle again nature and her will to destroy me!

However, it does give me hope when I go out and find the 'good' bugs out doing work in the garden. I have found lady bugs, solider beetles and lots of parasite wasps. So I am very happy how things are turning out, out there. Nature is fighting herself for me... though I wish ALL the bad bugs are gone... if they were the good bugs would have no purpose to be here.

Can you tell some of your good bugs to call their good bug relatives and have them come over to the smorgasbord that is my garden??
