If you’re Husband worked for me and showed up with a basket full of premium plunder: - he’d get a big raise!
The 2nd round will be tomorrow for the caregivers in the nursing home where my FIL stays now, and then, the 3rd round for neighbors and ourselves.

Thankfully we have these people to share my baking goods with. :D

The banana cake I will sell in my Café - finalized version

It has 90% bitter chocolate inside to balance the flavor, with a slice of torched banana sitting on the coffee-flavored whipped cream. I am satisfied and proud of this version.
The nice thing about banana cake is that it keeps well for a few days, even tasting better after it has aged a bit. I often add a dash of rum to my banana bread; it's a good combination.

I am enjoying a slice of rhubarb pie brought in yesterday from the freezer.

@Branching Out . Another thing that can be said about banana bread, beyond it holding up well in the fridge, is that it can be so simple to make. Many different pies benefit from some refrigeration so that any excess juiceness is taken up in the filling and crust. It is certainly true with rhubarb but I think that freezing may be of value, as well. Some of the "excess zestyness" is tempered.

A second breakfast cup of a very special oolong 🎁 certainly brings joy and is appreciated with the pie – such a perfect match ☺️.

I got this basket from H&M with less than 9Euros (winter sales), my original intention is to use it without the lid for baking goods like cookies or mini cup cakes in the cafe.

I also like to buy bed sheets during winter/summer sales - it's much cheaper than buying cotton fabrics. So, I collected some good ones at very low prices, for my future sewing/quilting projects.

And then, when I read the recipe book from Thomas Keller last night, I saw something familiar!

Cake and Fruit to-go, a luxurious transformation done with cake trimmings, some whipped cream, and the fruits from the veggie/fruit bags from Lidl. They taste great, and I will use them as products in the cafe, too.
