oh happy days.... the operation went as planned:celebrate no more having someone playing "lets stuff the thanksgiving turkey 🦃with the bung every couple weeks".
did have a hard time in recovery couldn't shake off the anesthesia they gave a shot that helped, butt still felt like crap. and my bung was very sore so was given a fast acting pain pill, then the nurse came in and read off everything i need to do, now have to do butt kegels. he took out the iv and left.

the surgeon came in said the operation went as planned and was very happy with the way the tunnel looked, we talked for a bit he has me on light duty for the next 2 weeks and really wants me to do nothing for the first week, plus no sitz baths that always soothing butt since there's stitches that's out wants me to use the handheld showerhead couple times a day and after any movement. <so im doing my part on conserving toilet paper> wants to see me in a month at that time he will remove the stitches. for the next week have 3 antibiotics to take of course more pain killers.

had a rough night that anesthesia really messed me up plus the bung hurt everytime i moved so lots of advil tylenol and a couple oxy. butt im feel much better this morning except for the bung dont think i will be moving around a lot for the next couple days.

thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers....

The antibiotics will kill all the bad bacteria that might cause infection, also all the good bacteria that your body needs to function, particularly for digestion. Be sure to take probiotics to restock the beneficial bacteria in your gut. Live culture buttermilk is also good as is any fermented food like sauerkraut.

My husband had hip replacement about 2 months ago. The medications they gave him totally screwed up his system. He had indigestion so bad, that it felt like a heart attack. It has taken weeks to get him back in some form of good health, still working on it.

oh good lord it's finally over..........:bow:bow
these last 5 months have been very humbling for me, never wish this upon anyone.

lets see....
2 week stay in the hospital < don't order the tuna fish sandwich>.
5 surgeries. <still sore a wee bit from the last one>.
laid up 3 of those 5 months.<daytime tv sucks>.

visited the surgeon this afternoon, he said everything is looking great and no reason to come back. really liked his comment .
<don't get this wrong but, hope not to see you again, except in the grocery store>.

very grateful to all the medical staff that had to put up with looking at my bung during this time..

mostly very grateful to dw for driving me back and forth and taking care of me after every surgery.
love you cindy bear xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

and of course all of you that had to put up with my twisted sense of humor over this. will have to see what 2021 brings anything butt bung humor....
