Nope don't know if its a male/ female thing but very common to have vine healthy but never flower.

Mine have produced seed and I have germinated them and the are pretty good sized plants. You may need to dry and chill them.

If there is no flower I'd give it lime and some fertilizer. Pruning should ONLY be done right after bloom or you will cut off next years flowers. Pruning should never be too extreme.

have seen wild wisteria growing into trees very beautiful when in bloom, but if not kept in check it's like kudzu....

These seed haven't sprouted yet just planted them. I've had the seed about 15 years.

A lot of times plants that are more than several years old and still not blooming can be shocked into it by root pruning in an incomplete circle around the plants. About 2' or so from the trunk. Also they don't need any extra nitrogen since they can fix it from the air. If you give them too much N they'll just be big vines with really green leaves.

Love the blooms, love the delightful fragrance. I would NEVER EVER PLANT ONE!! 15 years after digging up the stump, sprouts will appear.
