Does anyone know of any natural methods of keeping the moths away? Moth balls really aren't the way forward and although lavender does help a little, it'd be nice to have another scent in the house! I've had this problem for about two years now and I'm sure some do damage my plants...does this sound viable?

Are you just talking about moths that slip in the door, especially at night when they are attracted by house lights? Unless you are finding caterpillars on your house plants, I doubt that the moths themselves are causing the plants any problems.

I don't really have a whole-house idea for a repellent - perhaps, camphor. If you would want that fragrance around all the time, Eucalyptus.

Hey, eucalyptus! I wonder if that would work ;).

During the hours of darkness, I used to bat the bugs out of my way every time I passed the light beside the backdoor. Then, I realized that the huge majority of these bugs are lacewings. Lacewings are the great predator of aphids! What was I doing?!? I no longer slap them but usually can't get them back outside if they follow me in. Just have to be careful at the door . . .

eucalypyus, I do not think the moths will harm your plants. Just a real nuisnace in the house! If they are the type to damage clothing in storage try aromatic cedar. A cedar lined storage closet, a cedar chest or hang bags of cedar shavings in the closet. Cedar stuffing in the dogs bed not only smells great it repels fleas!
