Lesa...I think my neighbors heard me cracking up!

I don't do much texting, so I don't know abbreviations! :D

Sorry, I just do it out of habit now.. without thinking. When I text it to my husband he calls me up and is like "WHAT?" hahahaha

Just getting around to checking this thread out (had been avoiding it I guess til now).. I love the photos! Our garden is.. uhh.. a blank slate of sorts particularly now that chickens roam freely.. I like the idea of an enclosed waist high fence to keep animals out -- unfortunately it would not keep my chickens at bay.. With looking at the one picture showing the fenced in area, what can be done to keep birds out.. I guess I could put some poles in that I wrap bird netting fabric around to go up about 5-6 feet above the ground.. Anyone else got an enclosed little garden area like that and have it protected from chickens? Sorry about being OT!

Actually the fence is to keep the dog out. And in the spring the chickens in. They have a go debugging it first before anything. The rest of the time they are in the woods. As far as birds, the only problem I have is with the cherry tree. That needs a cage.

At the height of your fence, I'm assuming the chickens can fly/jump over it? I'm 99% sure mine would (orpingtons, auracana's) -- mostly the auracana's.

They can, but they rarely do. They are to busy getting bugs and worms.

It's not funny, Wifey. More on the way. "A storm, every 3-5 days for next foreseeable future". And that is why I hate weather people.

Is that the cute little fence peeking out? Dang, and bemoaned having to feed goats, horses, and chickens when we got 6" that lasted for a 2 weeks and iced over. I'm sending good weather vibes to you ~~~~~~!!!~~~~~~ :p
