Hopefully after this weekend will be our last "winter" for Arizona ! I am surprised to hear alot of you folks planting them so soon back east and finding them to be a disappointment ! Yes weather is unpredictable ! I cant wait to see how my garden grows ! I bought every kinds of seeds this year !!

Maybe we will catch a break here if you are getting warm weather there, Desertlady.

The Weather Service doesn't have a single day out of the next 7 over 60F and there isn't a single beam of sunshine in their graphics . . . Soon, the calendar will force a rush to completing the garden and the greenhouse will have to run the risk of inattention.

The neighbor to the big veggie garden didn't opt for the "tractor guy" showing up so that we could share his fee. That is fine with me if I can just get out there for the final several hundred square feet of cultivation. I am no closer to having the last 1/3rd of that garden in permanent paths and beds than I was last year. Also, deciding to use the rototiller on the 3 beds still waiting attention instead of using the spading fork would be good enuf but it is bitter medicine.

No, I'm not really that uncompromising - just optimistic that I can get miles from home for several more hours of garden work without loading the greenhouse in the back of the pickup so that I can keep an eye on it . . .
