Snow in October?? October is welcome relief from the summer heat for us! Here is a shot of the crepe myrtle from last summer. Look closely and you can see the bench under it.@baymule So that is the crepe myrtle climbing tree. And the cutest tree climber ever! And rub it in... we got our 1st snow late October last year.

Sigh! I am hoping someone develops a hardier crape myrtle for my zone. The baby one I tended in a container for 6 years bit the dust during the 2012 drought.
That tree is a keeper. I've never seen one so large in flower.
