Lets See Your Staghorns

mine got so heavy she broke the chain. so now she lives on a stand.
My thought is to punch a hole through it and thread a tow chain bolted to a square chunk of pt 2" x 8" . I plan on using a wrecking bar and just punch it through from top to bottom.

It should grow around it just fine and last for many years.

I have one in a pot in the house ... does that count? it is pretty big!
I love the one with the chicken in it how funny!!!!

staghorns are beautiful!

good idea, looking back i guess i could have just put a towchain in it years ago and let it grow into it...

my other ones are in a wire/coconut hanging basket and one is in a terra cotta pot. not sure what to do with it when it grows around it, its just on the surface right now.

I would think it counts just as well as any other stag, lets see it!

i got the chicken out of the stag and filled 'er up with bark and straw. and rigged it so she can hang out again for a while.

What a cool looking plant! How come I haven't seen this post until now? Are these hard to grow? Outside only or can they be inside?

Eby's sister has 2 huge ones in her pool cage (big screen enclosure)
They have a roof over them. I bring mine in just when there is a frost warning.
