Deeply Rooted
Florida. .. sometimes it is a curse, sometimes a blessing.
I spent the day planting more seeds.
I was so proud of myself last month. I counted out my seeds. I did not over plant.
..and today I panicked and did another couple hundred.
I pulled my husband by the hand out to the garden plot and said, "This. Do you see all of this? It will not suffice. I need more room."
To which he said, "I had a feeling when you pulled out the canister of seeds this morning, that I have more tilling in my future."
I wanted to plant my 4'' into the plot that is ready tilled and ready to go , but around here, the adage is that you do not plant until the leaves on a hickory tree are as big as a squirrel's ear. That seems to work for me. I just have to have everything half grown in the green house first, or it gets too hot too soon.
I hope we have a windless, deluge-less normal kind of spring this year. I need a success.
