Typical Alex. Remember when he wanted to press fruit for wine and bought an antique fruit press. Too much work. He was ready to toss it in the pond. I mentioned DH always wanted one. That Christmas it arrived at our house.

I am going to miss his funny take on the world around him. He got up and lived everyday of his life seems like. I’m glad I saved seeds from the NYer tomatoes, think I will plant some every year now.

I saw this picture and when I saw it I kind of mentally thought, Alex has aged some. I wonder if the flu caused something else to happen to him? I guess does not matter, it still would be flu caused it.

It might be a while before the family can compose an obituary for Alex. All we can do is hope.

Me too! I bet his dad would be amazed at how many people "know" him in distant lands. I loved his cantankerous nature, especially at his age.
