Remember he mailed me the dead orchid plant? He packed it up, left it in his hot car for a week and then mailed it off. I tried for months to get it to come back. No luck.

I mailed him two smoke trees, which he recently mentioned had not grown at all. In response he bought some soaps of mine and said his friend (Carol? ummmforget her name - they just went to dinner at Dad's house and Dad said maybe Alex will marry her), told him he smelled so good, unlike the kennel smell he usually had.

I'm thinking that perhaps with the flu and smoking and then trying to quit, his heart had an attack. I'm just sick about this loss....

Remember Larisa in Russia. Alex always wanted to visit Russia. The often corresponded. I did let her know.

Remember the bridge Nyboy built over his pond? The story of how it collapsed, and his friend wound up in the hospital is one of his many misadventures that stands out.

Just wanted to let you all know I am talking with @Nifty about adding a new emoji to the forum here in memory of Alex. I'll let you know how we're proceeding soon.

I still can't believe he's gone and will miss his posts and stories very much! He was such an incredible person.

"I have my own Ha ha tree thanks to my dad. Along the steam I had a beautiful 20 foot blue spruce tree. They are very SLOW GROWING this tree was magnificent !!!!! Shortly after buying house my mom and dad visited. My dad wondered outside and I made the mistake of leaving him alone talking with mom. About 2 hours later he came in house and proudly said I trimmed your big tree by water. When I saw the tree it took everything I had not to beat him with a rock he cut off every branch but 4 Then he had the nerve to say " it will fill in nicely now ""

This was an older dog and over a half dozen years ago. I can't be sure that this one was still around to be adopted but we have been assured that all of NyBoy's dogs have now found homes.



To be sure, Alex touched the lives of the animals in his care. Pets are usually only around for a brief time in their person's life but they had their time, together.
