Ok, so the logistics of gardening is what kills me. Now with that little green house thingy you got at lowes. It goes outside right? And inside you put plants. Will you still use one of those green house trays (like Parks bio dome or a two litter bottle)? Or will that be enough protection to start seeds this spring?

I have no other use for it besides starting seeds inside of it. I really cant grow tropical plants inside any greenhouse here even, they just wont survive very well.

One day I may get a large greenhouse and have other things in them, but not for now if thats what you were asking.

With some thing like that you would not need any domes and such.
That would be nice because if you got a late frost warning you could just wheel it inside and call it good. So that could give you a nice jump on spring!

I am by no means a veg. gardener but it's all in the timing. ;)

A remote temp./hydrometer is a good guide that records highs and lows. It don't have to be remote.

Did you see my seed pots made from junk mail? They were fun and easy to make. http://www.theeasygarden.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=26551

I just laid plastic over it till I seen the first sprout.
I know it is not cold yet here but just giving you some ideas.

I have that same greenhouse. I use it w/grow lamps for starting seeds in late winter, and then move it outside when it gets a little warmer. Just have to keep an eye on it on sunny spring days - it can get hot FAST, and that little vent doesn't do a whole lot of good. actually, it's been sitting outside without the cover most of the summer b/c I'm using it for drying veggies.
