I would never choose to live in FL. Too much tourist and snowbirds. The hurricanes are usually tolerable. The heat is bearable depending on the winds. The winds will blow the mosquitoes away.
Now SC....seems to be able to make bomb crater size potholes. :barnie

Ooohhh!!!...it's just unfriendly outside today!! :barnie Power outages statewide, trees down everywhere, deeply cold temps..and on and on. DH said he could still see ice on tree limbs on his commute home from work yesterday afternoon.
We got ice here, and windy windy. Fortunately, it warmed up enough to melt the ice on the bird netting covering the run. We've only had to rehang it 3x already...since we put it up in the winter of 2012. Always a chore. Ladder on top of slippery mud and poo. :sick I always have to hold it steady.
Today, not going to get to freezing. That means, I have to run out hot water all day long. About every 2 hours. Or they won't have any to drink. Tomorrow looks the same. Saturday looks promising at 54* forecast...but we wake up to 25*.
Geesh!!...enuff already !!! :hit

Sinkholes......yeah, Florida seems to be growing a major crop of them lately.
