Oh, me! Oh, my! Those are so cute! Unlike human babies, I've never seen a chick that wasn't cute.

Using normal chicken math -- and nothing is normal about chicken math -- how many birds do you now have?

I haven't ordered any chicks yet. Should have, I know, for my neighbor's "rooster serenade" later his year, but I don't have a suitable home for them yet. Guess I'd better get something started -- and soon.

Totally afield, but chicken related. . . I got my first egg of 2015 yesterday morning! I turned their lights off at Christmas time so I've gone eggless since late last year.

I've got about 3 dozen in the incubator right now. Should be hatching in about a week or so!

I only have 3 pullets. we live in town and regulation says only 3 female fowl in proper enclosure

My chickens did not completely stop laying during the winter, but it was pretty scarce sometimes.

That's a good idea raising them with that ad right under their feet, that should keep them in line!!!!

The yellow is a buff orpington (Nugget) the black is a barred rock (Pepper) and the red is a rhode island red (Klucky)

Mine went from winter lay of 1 egg...every other day...to 13 a day now.
