SoLucky: I don't think it matters if the fat is there or not in the freezer. But if you're going to freeze it for a LOOOONG time, then the fat will help cover that part that may get freezer burned.
 
no sale on corn here either 2 fer 1.00 and 6.00 fer seedless watermelons and 5.89 fer cantaloupes that were hard as a rock and no smell to them....pass

I can shuck some corn......FAST! I chop both ends, grab the shucks and silks and rip them off.

Nyboy shucking corn is taking off the green leafy things (shucks) that wrap around the ear of corn. Is that a good explanation? LOL
