Luvin' my Lilies

My mom decided I didn't have enuff daylilies, I only had three:

She got me this wonderful collection from Breck's! Yes, my mom is AWSUM!

They came right on time this spring and six have already bloomed for me, just waiting on the Bela Lugosi and Judy Judy. (top left, bottom right)
First to bloom was Early Snow, very pretty, huge blooms but it sure doesn't look like the pic... very peachy.

Next to bloom was the Inwood, I am entranced with this flower!

Mighty Chestnut came out a few days later, just WOW...

Majestic Move, huge flower, just huge!

Cherokee Star started blooming about the same time, I can't believe this red!

I am still hoping for Bela Lugosi and Judy Judy to bloom this year but it's ok if they don't. The lilies that have bloomed just have me all aflutter.
Now I need to study up, I am wondering if my soil might make a difference in bloom color, or maybe the age of the plant? Hours of sunlight? They should be pretty standard it seems to me. All I know is I am taking way too many pics of them and just...

I love lilies too! I have no idea the names of the cultivars I have but I so enjoyed collecting them from friends and waiting for blooms. What a fantastic gift!!

I kinda like her too! It was growing up in the country that got me started, we always had huge veggie gardens but Grandma Phyllis was the flower lady. I still have 6 of Gramma's roses that I have moved around with me thru the years. (Three of them are 50+ yrs old...) Mom loves flowers too but my dad not so much, they have a large veggie garden every year but only a few small flower beds. I think that's why she gets them for me, vicarious enjoyment! She also knows how much I love to grow them, whatever kind they may be.
She tells me I will be getting another collection this fall, iris this time. I can't wait!
