I can't believe the gathering has come and gone. I wish it had been a weekend retreat instead of just an afternoon. It was just wonderful meeting everyone in person (and everyone who came could breathe a sigh of relief that we weren't internet cat fishing axe murderers :p)

I sense some verbose paragraphs coming...:pop

I picked Ninnymary up at the airport on Thursday, we recognized each other immediately, I didn't even have to hold up my cardboard "Princess" sign, haha.
We yakked all the way home, stopping to pick up feed at the feed store, and at one of my jobs to water containers.
I put her to work right away. You know, when you have free labor you don't waste time.
She unpacked tamales, salsa, a loaf of her homemade sourdough, some sourdough starter, and an apple tree, and a spare pair of socks she was able to squeeze in.
***** EDIT- Mary also packed in a clematis, seed organization boxes with neat labels, and a package of Mexican chocolate, which I will be turning into hot cocoa tomorrow night after I pick up more milk. Sorry I left that stuff out Mary, I was a little overwhelmed! ******

Mary was a good sport about mucking out the horse pens and doing some flowerbed cleanup. She had to wear my size humongous chore boots because her glass slippers were a bit fragile for barn work.

Check out the boots, who knew a princess could have such big feet!

Saturday the doorbell rang and it was my little brother Major with a big smile and great accent! Then SweetMissDaisy pulled in while Major was getting the nickel tour. I tasked her with creating a couple of bouquets for the table and she quickly created two charming arrangements with what she found around the yard. Thank you Anna! They are now gracing my mantle.

Collector followed shortly after with his sweet wife and little Thomas, who is definitely 100% boy.
GardeningWithRabbits arrived with her lovely daughter and cutest baby girl in Idaho, Evelyn.
The food everyone brought was amazing, I mean just really amazing and we had enough for double the friends at least.

It was over much too soon and I thought of so much to ask each one after they left. I also was a little too distracted to get photos, and I can't believe we didn't get a group shot!! :hit We'll have to have a do over next year and check all the boxes.

The two babies were so good natured, just the way you would expect a gardeners grandkids to be. :)

Thank you to @Carol Dee for those goodie bags with the hand crafted coasters and home grown honey :hugs, and thank you to @Gardening with Rabbits for the creative keepsake postcard with all our names on it, and thank you so much @Collector for the New Yorker jam, who knew tomatoes were jam material?

Finally, thanks to GWR and Collector for letting us meet their beautiful grandbabies. :love

I had such a fun day, wish it had been longer.
