I usually set a 20-mins mini task each day, as I also need some break from always-thinking-of-gardening. For example, I cut back perennials and sent them to the compost, area by area; and picked up some tools/trash left in the garden, and done. Usually, within 4 songs from Spotify I will go back to the house.

Today is the first day I stayed in the greenhouse for hours to clean and transplant. Otherwise, my greenhouse looks like a mess after making those doors for the chicken runs. :p
OK, sister-from-another-mother, I have a 15 minute task rule when I DON'T want to do the task.
It's a lot like, "How to you eat an elephant?"
I agree with @Alasgun , you Can burn out with 24/7 gardening.
Something else, as you clean up beds, you can really start planning their jobs for next year.

"Temps almost 50 during the day"?! You are blessed to have warm weather! It's around 35 here!

Take the opportunity and clean up that garden! Be thankful that you are so blessed to have a place to grow things. Many people wish to have a garden but are unable to. Grow it for them!!

Best wishes, and happy December! :hugs
