I would be very cautious introducing a new variety of Gastropod into my garden. So many unexpected consequences are possible. If they are native in your area, they should already be a work in any garden that is as organic as possible, like yours.

Sprouting a few seeds in damp paper towel enclosed in zip locks or small containers is one way to hurry things along. Place in a warm spot and check every day, I've had tomato seeds sprout in 3 days done this way. Be sure to check every day and plant the seeds up as soon as they break out of the seed coat otherwise they little roots grow right into the paper towel and they are hard to remove without damaging the root.

I'm doing that this week, with peas. I'm tired of sowing in the starter containers and having either none sprout or too many and they've so tender that you end up killing them trying to separate. Some will go in my garden and the others will be the first things planted in my DD's back yard, where there is full sun.
