Pleas someone takes some seeds! I’ve got a gallon size baggy worth. More than I could ever plant in my lifetime and some flower buds with seeds in them still hanging on the plants in the front garden. Plus I’m sure some volunteers are gonna show up in the big garden while it lies fallow this summer.
i wish i could say yes, but there's no way i could use that many seeds and i don't grow heirloom tomatoes... i'm sure they will store for a season or two.
Yeah, I have a large Folger's coffee can pretty much filled with marigold seeds from this year. I'll plant some but to be honest I'll probably get enough volunteers that I don't need to.
I wonder if the city will be mad if I randomly drop some seeds in the well cultivated flower beds they have around town lol. They’re so colorful and pretty but I’m not gonna have much energy to do much planting this year. I might take over my mom’s hanging baskets and such this year.
I wonder how @thistlebloom would react if someone did that to the beds she manages. @marshallsmyth was talking about trying a similar stealth planting with beans a few years back but I didn't see him post anything about the results. Somehow I don't think that turned out really well if he tried it.
A friend volunteers at a local park as part of her Master Gardener volunteer requirement. She enjoys it so much I think she'd do it anyway, every Monday morning meet her buddies for breakfast then spend a few hours maintaining that fairly small park. I've given her some zinnias to plant there but so far she has not taken any marigolds for the park. She has taken a few marigolds to plant around her home. Such bright colors especially in late summer and the fall when some other things are drying up.
