Has anyone every grown the Marion FSt tomato I bought a dozen plants from wal mart this spring there a intermediate plant first time growing them I am going to try them for sauce. Question I have is there a pale green almost white , Is something lacking in the soil to cause this I have a large number of clusters ranging from 2 1/2 " to 3" diameter tomatoes and a bunch just coming out almost seemed like they quit growing to. Been warm around here high 90 and I have a soaker hose I run for 45 min every other day. Just not sure whats going on I planted these memorial day weekend.

Not sure but maybe the heat is slowing them down?? While my little tomatoes (Sweet 100's, cherry, yellow plum) are ripening, my marglobe tomatoes are pale green and have been that way for weeks. Our weather has been VERY hot. The plant looks healthy so I am not going to panic yet.

I'm not familiar with that variety but some tomatos do turn a very pale green before the pink tinge begins to show. OTOH sun scald produces the same effect.

I planted Early Girls and Marions this year. The early girls ripened about 3 times as fast as the Marions - I think that's just their nature. But I have to say they are worth the wait! I don't think i'll be buying Early Girls next year.
