Mauldintigers 2016 Garden

First row in the garden is all butternuts, only 1 pitiful fruit, but the vines all look healthy, no sign of Downey mildew. I guess that's what happens when you plant late. Now I'll definitely have to battle pickle worms,

Second row of squash is Tromboncino, spaghetti and Tatume. Made 2 Tromboncino casseroles last night and lots of young ones on the vine. It's DM resistant and delicious, but I will have to battle pickle worms.

Tomatoes, no diseases evident, getting tomatoes, but main harvest is a couple weeks out. This design would work much better if the panels were 18" apart instead of 2'. But, that would make it difficult to plant.

Rosita eggplant is doing very well 31/2' tall, lots of blooms and sever fruits. Peppers in same row need staking.

Bush squash include early prolific straightneck, a couple of hybrid zucchini, Desi, butter bush, table King, Costata romanesco. No sign of SVB, but there is one in one of the spaghetti squash. Will do some Bt spraying tomorrow. Picked about a gallon of beans yesterday.
"Cajun Jewel" Okra is doing very well, should be able to pick some tomorrow morning.

Dug about a gallon of potatoes for the fifth time this season. Probably need to go ahead and get the rest of them.

Bought these at Costco for $25 each, keeps the kitchen counter from being full of veggies all the time.

Picked these Saturday afternoon when I returned from vacation, and about the same amount on Sunday. I'm very happy with the gardens production so far, no pests showed up until this morning when I found my first pickle worm. Going to spray Bt shortly.

Great harvest, I'll have to check Costco up here, I could use a couple of those, you can never have enough storage space.

What's a pickle worm? I figure maybe know, but perhaps call it something different?
