Has anyone ordered plants or seeds from R.H. Shumways before? If so what did you like about them and how satisfied were you with your order.

I have checked out their site and have a few *gulp more like a lot* clicked but I wanted to know how you liked their offerings.

I like Shumway's seeds.
They sold to a big company something like 10 years ago, and for a couple years some folks had problems getting their orders right and on time. I ordered from them in 2006 and my order arrived fine with the right seeds. The Mikado Tomato seeds I received were the very old version of the variety which I liked. The Golden Ponderosa Tomatoes grew smaller tomatoes than I thought they should. Their old Bean varieties are wonderful, and they even added a packet of Beans free to my order, a version of Bush Blue Lake that is a true Creaseback more so than regular Bush Blue Lake, plus they are better as dry beans. They simply named them Experimental bush beans.

I am pleased with Shumway's.

I've ordered from Shumways for a couple of years now, and have not been disappointed once. I got sucked in my their great catalog! :) I've ordered seeds, and also plants from them. I've never had one not grow. I like their buy one get one deals. I've gotten strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and this year, a couple of peach trees that way.
