I have been hoppy . . . er, happy. . with just the one rabbit. I would actually like to get another one. It is good to have hot chicken waste, but sometimes a little cooler doo-doo is just the thing.

There was an old rabbit hutch on this property when we bought it 22 years ago. Rabbit poo sounds pretty good to me right now. Of course, there are so many wild rabbits around here right now (in my garden, eating the sweet potato leaves now) that there should be plenty of poo, too.
Maybe the coyote population will explode now. Or foxes. Or I could let Penny off her leash, haha.

i have one small bun, Mr Wooly Bear. he's a mixed Lion Head and mini lop. i'd love to get him a girlfriend but after seeing the beautiful Angora rabbits last weekend i've wanted to find a mini Angora somewhere close to me.

They are pretty but like all pretty things they need upkeep to stay looking that way.
RIGHT, we had angoras so I could spin the wool! Talk about work! They really did not like all the brushing and plucking. In hot weather every time you got near them you'd be cover in Angora fluff. UGH. Cage must be kept VERY clean or the fur will matt on rear ends and feet especially.

I have been playing around with the idea of getting a rabbit for manure. last week I even posted on rabbit section of sister site BYH. I just got a call from client informing me, Sat she was dropping of her sons pet rabbit. He is not taking care of it, she told me do something with it. Guess i am getting a rabbit.

Need a good recipe? I have several ;)

Not sure if I ever knowingly ate rabbit. I did try deer once as a child, my mother had no idea how to cook it and it showed it taste very gamey. Many years later was at a Russian restaurant, the menu was in Russian , venison was the only word I recognized. I ordered it thinking I was going to leave hungry, wow was it good !!!!! I guess it is one of the meats you really need to know how to cook.
