MEN and thier "help"

We have had big clearing done on our property over the last few years. We had our pine harvested with a giant machine that cuts it down and carries it and carefully places it in a pile for processing. We then had boulders removed that were the size of a car. Men of all ages came from all over to watch the big noisy machines do this manly man work!

Before we met and got married I used to double dig my garden with a spade and fork...took a while but I got it done...I had a wheelbarrow that was just the right size for me... now DH or DS rototills the garden incoporating all the runner grass roots that it chopped up...my barrow got a flat tire and instead of fixing the wheel he went and bought a super sized barrow I have trouble moving when empty...so bigger is better and louder is even better...and after all these years he still cant tell a weed from a flower...

Thats called selective knowledge.

I will have to throw myself in as the exception.

I can't get DH to use his tractor to till up the new garden he cleared for me because it's "too wet". He suggested I use an iron rake. It's going to rain tomorrow and Saturday, so it's just going to get wetter. I am not going to use an iron rake, I'm going to wait till it dries and hopefully get him to till it with the neighbor's rototiller assuming we can get it here, it's ancient, huge and heavy.

I also finished weed-eating my front yard and fence line with my new weed whacker today. I love it.

And I'd probably have been with the guys watching that log cutting machine. That stuff is cool.

I like machinery. Probably the reason I became an engineer.

Kassaundra, my advice would be to "Make Him A Longer List!" Obviously, he has done all of his chores and has free time to help you. If he were still busy working on his list, you could have more peace and quite in your garden.

Oh if only making the list worked!!! The only thing he likes better then noisy toys is ignoring the list!!!
