Okay, someone else say something!

Dropped to 25.5 last night, but the sheets I put out saved everything so far. Have to do it again tonight.

How are y'all?

About to give up on this thread, no point talking to myself. :old

21 for the low, only barely 38 now. I am so not used to winter weather anymore!

Well, while it reached 55 today and the sun is finally popping out for a second or two, the temps are already dropping toward the third freeze since the heat wave ended. It's awfully windy out there so I doubt my sheets will stay on long. I'm only going to cover the 3 lilacs and 3 of my smallest roses, the ones I planted last year. It will have to do. I can't keep this up for another 2 months. :th

100% chance for rain today, was 100% chance for snow so I am not going to complain! No sign of my snow peas sprouting yet. Glad I didn't plant lettuce yet, I think dropping below 30 every night couldn't be good for it.

Good morning.

Nicer day here today, already 41, sun poking in and out from behind the clouds. Got some sweet peas soaking in warm water. Now I MUST dig up a spot for them. Along the deck I think. That will at least get the spade fork up near the chicken coop. I really need to muck it out, haven't since October. The one problem with deep litter is the weight of the stuff to remove after 6 months! :th

:) I'm back! DH rigged the dish up so we could have the internet while remodeling....Sun is out and only 42 right now. The nights sure have been cold! My tomatoe plants are doing good. They have the two leaves and starting to get 3 and 4 now. Lettuce in pot is getting stringy. It's just so nice to be back and hope all is well with everyone. Just think Swampducks you don't have to feel like you're talking to yourself anymore ;)

THANK YOU It was getting lonely in here!

My snow peas started sprouting yesterday. I planted sweet peas by the front deck. Temp is 52 right now and sunny. Very nice day. May go plant more peas or lettuce, but right now I'm looking at vinyl tiles on line. Need to re-floor the great room, (kitchen/dining/living room), the carpet and vinyl are old and nasty!

Rather cool here this afternoon...only 46. The 70's sure did spoil me a few weeks ago. My garden which DH made larger is plowed and ready to go. Come on frost, go away and don't come back.

I have not planted any lettuce yet, but I really need to get the rest of that garden weeded, raked and planted with lettuce. Do you know, can it survive hard freezes because it seems to drop to 28 every other night here. This would be early for me to plant it outside simply because there is no snow and the ground as thawed! It's as though I have to rethink everything this year so nothing is second nature! I actually planted 10 potato chunks today, around here the potato farmers usually wait till May 1. At least according to my FIL.

But my chicks arrived today so I'm sort of staying inside watching them. Plus it's really windy out there, only 50 degrees yet it feels about 38! Sunny though which is nice.

My tomatoes in the basement are finally getting their first set of true leaves, I may be able to plant some to bigger pots in another week or so. They seem to be growing so slowly, or am I just over anxious? Been a few years since I've started my own.
